Create Your Account
Getting started with StatusIntel takes less than a minute:
- Go to statusintel.com/register
- Enter your username, email address, and a secure password (minimum 8 characters)
- If you have a referral code from a friend, enter it to give them bonus monitors
- Click "Create Account"
That's it! No credit card required. You'll be taken directly to your dashboard.
Create Your First Monitor
Once logged in, creating a monitor is simple:
- Click the "+ New Monitor" button in the top right
- Enter a name for your monitor (e.g., "My Website")
- Select the monitor type (HTTPS, HTTP, TCP, or Ping)
- Enter the target URL or hostname (e.g.,
example.com)
- Choose your check interval (5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes)
- Click "Save Monitor"
Tip: For websites, use HTTPS type and enter just the domain (e.g., example.com). We'll automatically add the protocol.
Understanding Your Dashboard
Your dashboard shows all your monitors at a glance:
- Green dot: Monitor is UP and responding normally
- Red dot: Monitor is DOWN or not responding
- Yellow dot: Monitor hasn't been checked yet
- Uptime %: Percentage of successful checks in the last 24 hours
- Response time: How long the last check took in milliseconds
Enable Two-Factor Authentication (Optional)
We recommend enabling 2FA for extra security:
- Go to Settings
- Find the "Two-Factor Authentication" section
- Click "Enable 2FA"
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
- Enter the 6-digit code to verify

- Find your referral link in Settings or on the Dashboard
- Share it with friends and colleagues
- For each person who signs up, you get +5 monitors
